Accessibility Statement

The Prism Community Hub is committed to creating a space where everyone can participate fully, safely, and with dignity. We believe that accessibility is a human right and essential to building a truly inclusive and affirming community. Our goal is to remove barriers, provide equitable access to all programs, services, and events, and ensure that every individual feels welcome and valued.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

We strive to ensure that the Hub is physically, socially, and digitally accessible to community members of all abilities. This includes:

Physical Accessibility

· Wheelchair-accessible entrance(s), washrooms, and gathering spaces

· Barrier-free pathways and adjustable seating options

· Clear signage and accessible wayfinding

Communication & Sensory Accessibility

· Use of plain language and multiple formats for written materials when possible

· Quiet, low-sensory spaces available for those who need a break

· Microphones and assistive listening support at events when available

· Visual supports, captioning, or interpretation offered when requested

Digital Accessibility

· Website and online materials designed with accessibility standards in mind

· Screen-reader–friendly content and alt-text on images where possible

· Virtual programs with auto-captioning and accessible platforms

· Respecting Individual Needs

We recognize that accessibility needs vary from person to person. We encourage community members to let us know how we can support their participation. Whenever possible, we will adapt programs, resources, or communication to meet individual needs.

Service Animals & Support Persons

· Service animals are always welcome at the Prism Community Hub

· Support persons are welcome to accompany individuals who require assistance
