Important Update

To our community,

With care and reflection, we are writing to share that the Prism Community Hub project is coming to a close.

Prism began as a hope—an idea shaped by the belief that our communities deserve more than survival. We dreamed of a shared space where people could gather, create, learn, heal, and belong. A place rooted in safety, connection, and possibility.

Over time, Prism became more than a concept. It became conversations. It became planning tables and late-night meetings. It became community voices, community needs, and community imagination. It reminded us what happens when people dare to build something together.

But we have also learned something important: shared spaces require shared stewardship. They are held up not only by walls, but by many hands and many hearts moving in the same direction. And in this season, that collective foundation has not come together in the way Prism needs in order to grow and truly thrive.

Because of that, we are closing this chapter.

This decision is not made lightly. It comes with grief, but also clarity. And it comes with deep respect for what Prism was always meant to be—a space built with community, not just for it.

While the Prism Community Hub may be ending, the work is not.

The values behind Prism—care, advocacy, education, solidarity, and community resilience—remain at the centre of Why We March. We will continue showing up, building what is possible, and investing in initiatives that are sustainable, accessible, and rooted in real community capacity.

We want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who believed in this vision. Thank you to those who offered support, time, ideas, encouragement, and hope. Thank you to those who showed up in conversation, who held space for dreaming, and who reminded us why this work matters.

Prism may be closing, but community is still here. And we are still here—with you.

With gratitude and care,

Why We March
